  • It is essential to share your complete medical history with your healthcare provider, including but not limited to:
    • Pancreatitis or a history of pancreas problems.
    • Severe gastrointestinal disease or gastroparesis.
    • Kidney or liver conditions.
    • Suicidal thoughts or a history of depression, as these may require close monitoring.

When taking Semaglutide, you may experience some common side effects, including:

  • Gastrointestinal Issues: Nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, and abdominal discomfort are frequent, especially when starting treatment or after a dose increase.

  • Decreased Appetite: Many users notice a reduction in hunger, which can aid in weight loss.

  • Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia): Semaglutide can lead to low blood sugar levels, particularly when used with other glucose-lowering medications.

  • Injection Site Reactions: You may experience redness, itching, or swelling at the injection site.

  • Fatigue: Some individuals report feeling more tired than usual.

When using Semaglutide for weight loss, it’s crucial to keep the following safety considerations in mind to ensure safe and effective use:

  • Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia): Semaglutide can reduce blood sugar levels, particularly when taken with other diabetes medications like insulin or sulfonylureas. Regularly monitor your blood glucose and be alert for signs of hypoglycemia.

  • Gastrointestinal Symptoms: Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. These symptoms are usually mild to moderate and tend to lessen over time. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your healthcare provider.

  • Allergic Reactions: Though rare, allergic reactions to Semaglutide can occur. If you notice symptoms such as a rash, itching, or trouble breathing, seek medical attention immediately.

  • Kidney Function: Semaglutide may impact kidney function in some individuals. If you have a history of kidney issues or experience changes in urine output or swelling in your legs or feet, notify your healthcare provider.

  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: The safety of Semaglutide during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not well-established. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, discuss the potential risks and benefits with your healthcare provider.

  • Drug Interactions: Semaglutide may interact with other medications, potentially affecting their effectiveness or increasing side effects. Be sure to inform your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, and herbal supplements.

To get started with Semaglutide, complete the medical questionnaire. Your responses will help determine the most appropriate program and ensure it aligns with your health history and weight loss goals.

To create your patient portal account, you’ll need to provide your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and mailing address. Ensure your email and phone number are accurate to receive timely updates and prevent delays in your treatment.

Once your patient portal account is set up, you can select the medication that aligns with your chosen weight loss program directly within the portal.

You’ll need to enter your credit card or debit card information for preauthorization in your patient portal. Your card will only be charged after your prescription has been approved by a licensed physician.

Your medical history questionnaire should include details about:

  • Current and past medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Current medications
  • Family medical history
  • Lifestyle factors (e.g., exercise and dietary habits)

A licensed prescribing physician will review your questionnaire within 24 hours. If additional information is needed, they will contact you through your patient portal.

Once your prescription is approved, you’ll receive a message in your patient portal confirming the approval. The prescription will then be sent to one of our fulfillment pharmacies for processing.

After approval, your preauthorized card will be charged, and a shipping label will be created. You can view the shipping label in your patient portal. Once your medication is shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation message with tracking information.

All communication with your prescribing physician, the MWLCOA admin team, and the pharmacy will take place securely through your HIPAA-compliant patient portal.

In most states, phone calls or video chats are not required. Our onboarding process uses asynchronous consultations, allowing you to complete the process online at your convenience.

You can track your prescription and access refill information directly in your patient portal.
