Questions About Medications

Administer the dose specified in your prescription by injecting subcutaneously once a week, at the same time each week. Follow these steps for proper subcutaneous (sub-q) injection technique:

  1. Preparing the Injection

    • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
    • Gather your medication, syringe, and alcohol swabs.
    • Double-check the prescribed dose and ensure the syringe is correctly filled.
  2. Choosing the Injection Site

    • Sub-q injections should be administered into the fatty tissue just under the skin. Common sites include:
      • Abdomen: At least two inches away from the belly button.
      • Thighs: The front or outer part of the upper thigh.
      • Upper Arm: The back of the upper arm, where there is fatty tissue.
  3. Injecting the Medication

    • Clean the selected site with an alcohol swab and let it air dry.
    • Pinch the skin gently between your thumb and fingers to lift the fatty layer.
    • Insert the needle at a 45- to 90-degree angle, depending on your comfort and the needle length.
    • Slowly press the plunger to inject the medication.
  4. After the Injection

    • Remove the needle and dispose of it properly in a sharps container.
    • Apply gentle pressure to the injection site with a clean cotton ball or gauze if needed. Avoid rubbing the area.

The amount of weight you might lose with Semaglutide varies based on several factors. On average, clients of MWLCOA LLC often see:

  • A reduction of about 5% in their starting weight.
  • Over 12 weeks, this percentage can increase up to 10%.

For example, someone who weighs 200 pounds might expect:

  • A loss of approximately 10-20 pounds.

However, individual results can differ. Those who achieve the most notable success often:

  • Engage in significant dietary changes.
  • Make lifestyle modifications.

Key Points to Consider:

  • A healthy rate of weight loss is generally 1-2 pounds per week.
  • Excessively rapid weight loss is not advised from a medical standpoint.

It’s important to tailor the approach to each individual’s needs for the best results with Semaglutide.
